Kim Dry

WOW, 2011 - Brisbane, August 20/21, - 240km's, 1343 riders, raised $4.7 million for cancer research. Single largest fundraiser in Queensland history. Well done all....

Thats right, i'm doing it again. It was hard, it was challenging, it was wet, very wet on day 2 but I loved every minute of it. Especially because of friendships formed with my fellow team mates from "Vision PT".

In the 2011 ride, I raised $8180 and our team raised over $48000.

Thanks to all who donated to my 2011 ride, I hope you can contribute to my 2012 campaign to once again "CONQUER CANCER"

BRING ON THE 2012 RIDE!!!!!!!

"The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Queensland Institute of Medical Research" is a 200 PLUS km cycling journey throughout Queensland's scenic countryside which I am embarking on to help fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, the speed of lycra and YOUR generosity, a real impact will be made!

This charity ride requires me to raise a minimum of $2500 before I can get to the starting gate, then I will need a whole lot of Aussie Butt Cream (for comfort down under) and a bucket of Powerade to get me to that finish line.

*Aussie Butt Cream & Powerade are not my official sponsors. YET...

YES, I will be wearing lycra in public, but this fear has become a distant memory by my motivation I have for raising these funds.

The reason behind me riding in this awesome event is my lovely wife,

Paula Dry, a Brain Tumour fighter. She is the toughest and most inspirational person in my life. I love you Paula...

Im also doing this for all our loved ones past and present affected by cancer and incurable diseases.

Uncle Wayne Stalley, Sadly passed away in 2003 from Prostate Cancer.

Friend Michael Brown, Sadly passed away in 2007 from a Brain Tumour .

Friend Dougie Hughes, Sadly passed away in 2009 from Motor Neurone Disease.

Auntie Maxine, a Breast Cancer survivor.

Auntie Maree, a Breast Cancer survivor.

Dot Saffin (Paulas auntie), a Breast Cancer survivor.

I believe that one day, a cure will be found, and this cure depends on medical research.

So please help me make this journey on the weekend of August 18/19, 2012. Click on the big green button marked "DONATE ONLINE NOW" and make a donation today.

All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be emailed to you.

Any donation, big or small, will get us closer to achieving our goal,

A world free of cancer.
